At One Inch Whale, we believe in giving young talent the chance to grow, expand their expertise, and contribute meaningfully to real projects. That’s why we are delighted to welcome Klara Dellaert, 22 years old, who is spending her summer internship with us, eager to explore the many sides of market research.
A summer full of opportunities
After the summer, Klara will start her second Master in Business Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Last year she specialised in entrepreneurship and strategy, and this year she will focus on international business and strategy. But first: a summer of hands-on learning at One Inch Whale. “During a guest lecture by Wim in my first Master, I came into contact with One Inch Whale for the first time. I was immediately intrigued by the diversity of projects and the way theory and practice come together here. For me, this was the ideal place to do an internship.”
I feel that I can really contribute something valuable here.
Curiosity as a second nature
Anyone who gets to know Klara quickly sees that curiosity and engagement run through her story. Since childhood, she has been active in the scouts – a place she describes as a second home. Just like there, she seeks out new challenges, opportunities to learn, and ways to collaborate at One Inch Whale.
Behind the scenes of real projects
One month into her internship, Klara looks back with great enthusiasm on everything she has already been able to do. From working on qualitative research projects and discovering new software tools, to joining workshops and client meetings. “I feel that I can really contribute something valuable here, even as an intern. The team involved me from day one, and that makes this experience incredibly enriching.”
What’s on the horizon
For the remainder of her internship, Klara is eager to deepen her experience in both qualitative and quantitative research. “I already gained a strong picture of qualitative research, and I find it fascinating. I hope to also get the chance to work on quantitative projects in the coming weeks.”
Her goal after this summer? A richer and more complete view of market research and a step closer to discovering what she would like to pursue after her studies.
Welcome, Klara! We’re glad to have you swimming along with us. And of course, we wish you the very best of success in the continuation of your studies.
